Every George Vanadium speaker is built by hand in our workshop in the Netherlands. No factory line. No outsourcing. Two years of work, twelve prototypes, three full redesigns, to make something that earns its place in a living room.
Every Halo is a little different. Not perfectly round, hands can't do perfectly round. Small marks of the sanding. Small variations in the finish. That's not a flaw, it's proof that a person made it.
Tuned for voice and acoustic instrument, folk, singer-songwriter, jazz, world music. Not for club volume. For Sunday mornings and long evenings.

Why we made it this way
The Halo is built differently from most speakers. Two full-range drivers cover everything above the bass — no tweeter, no crossover. A closed subwoofer keeps the bass tight, not boomy. One coherent source. Sound radiates in every direction. No wrong seat. Not for club volume. Not for the perfect stereo sweet spot. For homes where the music matters — whatever the music is that day.
The voicing follows the tonal balance the BBC developed for its own monitoring speakers. From the 1960s onward, engineers at the British broadcaster ran years of measurement and listening research to find out why some speakers become tiring over a long day of listening to voices. Their answer was a measured step back in the region where the ear is most sensitive — enough to keep speech natural for hours.
That research was done for control rooms. It turns out to describe exactly what a speaker in a living room needs: one that stays on all evening without asking for attention.
