your data, your call
Privacy
The short version: we ask for as little as possible, and we don't share what we get.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Who we are
George Vanadium Audio B.V., based at Esscheweg 83, 5262 TV Vught, The Netherlands. Registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 99575604.
If you have any questions about privacy or your data, write to hello@georgevanadium.com. It comes to me directly.
What we collect
As little as possible. Here's the full picture.
When you join the waitlist
Name, email address, country, and your preferred colour. That's it. No home address, no phone number, no birthday.
When you place an order
Full name, shipping address, phone number, and email. Payment details go through Stripe — we never see your card number.
When you email us
Your email address and whatever you write. We keep the conversation so we can help you properly, now and later.
When you browse the site
We use Plausible Analytics to see how many people visit which pages. Plausible doesn't use cookies and doesn't track individuals. We see numbers, not names.
What we do with it
Only what we need to do.
Waitlist
We send you occasional updates about the launch and give you first access when we open for orders. You can unsubscribe from any email.
Orders
We build your speaker, package it, ship it, and stay in touch about warranty or repairs. Order details are kept for seven years because the tax office requires it.
Contact
We answer your questions. That's all.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't build profiles on you. We don't send marketing for other brands.
Who else sees your data
Only the companies that help us deliver a speaker to your door. We have data processing agreements with each of them.
- Google Ireland — stores your data on servers in the EU.
- Stripe — processes payments. They see your payment details, we don't.
- DHL Express — receives your name, address, and phone number for shipping.
- Plausible Analytics — receives anonymised website statistics only.
- Our email service — sends the emails you receive from us.
That's the full list. Nobody else gets your data unless we're legally required to hand it over.
How long we keep it
Different data, different timelines.
- Waitlist signups — until you unsubscribe, or two years after signing up if you don't order.
- Order records — seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Email conversations — two years after our last exchange.
- Analytics data — 90 days maximum, then it's gone.
After these periods, we delete the data or make it fully anonymous.
Your rights
Your data belongs to you. You can always:
- Ask what we have on you — we'll send you the full picture.
- Ask us to correct something — we'll fix it.
- Ask us to delete your data — we will, except where we're legally required to keep it (like tax records).
- Ask us to stop using your data for a while — we'll pause.
- Object to how we use your data — for anything based on our legitimate interest.
- Ask for your data in a portable format — we'll export it.
To do any of these things, email hello@georgevanadium.com. We respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Complaints
If you think we're mishandling your data, tell us first — hello@georgevanadium.com. We take every complaint seriously.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl or 088-1805 250.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe. Encrypted connections across the whole site, secured databases, access limited to people who need it, and regular checks for weak spots.
If a data breach happens despite our precautions, we report it to the authorities within 72 hours and, where necessary, inform you directly.
Cookies
This site doesn't use tracking cookies. We think people deserve privacy, online too.
We do use minimal technical cookies for basic site functionality — like remembering where you are in a checkout flow. These don't store preferences or track behaviour.
Changes
We may update this page when we launch new services or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when we last did that.
For significant changes — like new categories of data we collect — we'll email you directly if you're on our list.
